COI & Building:
Notify your moving advisor if your building requires a Certificate of Insurance (COI). All certificates issued by us prior to your move date are free. Please be aware that if a COI needs to be issued or modified on your move date, an administrative fee will be applied. Additionally, ensure that you secure your move date and elevator reservation, and ask your building management about any restrictions or special requirements they may have.
Packing:
Unless otherwise specified, you are responsible for obtaining packing materials, and for packing and unpacking your clothes, linens, books, china, dishes, and the contents of drawers and shelves. Do not pack any items in plastic bags. Objects like glass or marble tops, shelves, mirrors, lamps, electronics, and TV’s must be packed in boxes, cardboard crates, or containers. Please pack liquids inside plastic bins instead of cardboard boxes to prevent breakage or leakage. For hygienic reasons, protect your mattresses and box springs by using a plastic mattress bag or box. We offer professional packing materials both prior to and on the day of your move, which comes at an additional cost.
Securing Parking:
Please arrange for a parking space or parking permit at both your pickup and delivery addresses. Contact your moving advisor regarding any parking restrictions to avoid parking violations.
Delivery Schedule:
Unless straight or expedited delivery was specifically ordered and paid for, we aim to deliver your items according to your request on the first available date subject to availability. Below is the standard delivery schedule:
East-Coast destinations between 2-10 business days
Mid-West destinations between 4-14 business days
West-Coast destinations between 8-21 business days
