The movers were professional and able to move an extra large couch through a very tight space, that seemed nearly impossible. They worked quickly and efficiently as well.Posted on Google![]()

A friend recommended Moving of America, and choosing them was one of the best decisions I made. The team worked efficiently, and my foreman made sure everything was handled properly, wrapped carefully, and completed according to my requests. I highly recommend Moving of America. A special thank-you to Joey for his amazing attention and support, from the very first phone call until the end of my move.Posted on Google![]()

We had an excellent experience with our move today. The team worked from 10am to 5:15pm in extremely hot weather, and our new home has lots of stairs on a hill—definitely not an easy job. Despite that, all four movers were professional, efficient, and handled everything with great care. They stayed positive the entire time and truly went above and beyond. Highly recommend!Posted on Google![]()

Moving of America is a licensed carrier handling local moves in Cranbury, NJ. As one of the leading Cranbury Movers and a trusted Cranbury Moving Company, we serve a National Register colonial village of about 4,000 people that sits within one of the largest freight corridors on the East Coast.
That tension runs through Chapter 143 of the Township Code, which is written to keep Turnpike traffic out of the village, and its rules govern how a move day runs here.
Cranbury is part of our Middlesex County movers coverage area. We book every job as a binding, inventory-based estimate through our Local Movers Cranbury NJ service, ensuring a seamless process that stands out among Moving Companies in Cranbury NJ, with the route confirmed before we assign a crew
Hiring a local mover in Cranbury should not feel like a gamble. Too many people have dealt with a crew that showed up late, handled their furniture carelessly, or added charges that never came up during the quote. Moving of America was built to give New Jersey households and businesses a better experience, and here is what that looks like for your move in Cranbury.
We are not a national chain handing your job to whichever crew happens to be free. Moving of America is a New Jersey company that has served homeowners, renters, and businesses since 2007. Cranbury is a small place with two very different sides: the historic village along Main Street, with its older homes and narrow approaches, and the warehouse and distribution district along Route 130 near Exit 8A. Our crews know how to reach a Main Street address without using it as a through route, which morning turns are restricted on Station Road and Old Cranbury Road, and how the loading docks work at the Brickyard Road and Corporate Drive buildings. That local planning keeps your moving day on schedule.
Few things are more frustrating than agreeing to one price and then receiving an invoice for another. It happens often in the moving industry, and it is one of the most common complaints we hear from people who tried another company before calling us. Every Moving of America quote is binding and built from a written, item-by-item inventory of your belongings. You will not see fuel surcharges, surprise stair fees, or last-minute add-ons on the final bill. The price your Move Advisor gives you is the price you pay.
Many local movers simply load a truck, drive, and unload. We do much more than that. Moving of America provides packing and unpacking, furniture disassembly and reassembly, loading and unloading, and secure storage for times when your move-out and move-in dates do not line up. Whether you are moving out of a colonial-era home in the village or relocating an office or operation near the Route 130 distribution centers, we have the people, equipment, and experience to do it right.
When comparing moving companies, it is easy to focus only on the quote. But you are also inviting people into your home, around your family and your most valued possessions. Every Moving of America team member passes a background check and completes professional training before working a single job. We are fully licensed, insured, and accredited, including licensing through the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, and we carry liability and cargo insurance on every move. If something unexpected happens, you are protected.
We could tell you why we are a great choice, but our customers say it best. Moving of America has earned a long record of verified five-star Google reviews from New Jersey families, renters, seniors, and business owners. Many customers call us again for their next move and recommend us to friends and family. That kind of loyalty comes from doing what we promise, every time.
Main Street is a light-traffic street, and the fine is ten times the usual
Section 143-1 excludes trucks over four tons gross weight from four roads: George Davison Road, the Plainsboro-Cranbury Road, Station Road between Main Street and Route 130, and Main Street itself between Cranbury Neck Road and Station Road. That last one is the historic village.
The penalty is up to $500 per violation. The standard penalty elsewhere in Chapter 143 is $50. Cranbury takes this seriously because the alternative is Exit 8A traffic cutting through a village of 18th-century houses.
The exception sits in the same sentence: the exclusion does not apply to pickup and delivery of materials on those streets. A household move is pickup and delivery, so a full-size truck can legally reach a Main Street address. It cannot, however treat Main Street as a through route. We plan the approach off Route 130 and turn in once, at the address.
The curb itself is the good news. Section 143-5 lists only two permanent no-parking zones in the whole township: 325 feet of Maplewood Avenue and Old Cranbury Road from dusk to dawn. No permit system, no meters. On most village streets, the truck stops at the door. Our Residential Movers Cranbury NJ and Affordable Movers Cranbury NJ team confirms it on the survey anyway.
The peak-hour turn bans are what actually break a Cranbury move day
Section 143-7 prohibits eight specific turns during weekday commuter hours, and most movers have never read it.
Between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m., there is no right turn from Station Road onto Evans Drive, Oak Lane or Pine Hill Drive, and no right from North Main Street onto Scott Avenue. From 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. and again 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.: no left from Old Cranbury Road onto South Main Street, no left from Cranbury Neck Road onto Symmes Court, no right from Plainsboro Road onto Prospect Street.
The practical result is simple. A truck arriving at 8:00 a.m. for a move on Oak Lane or Evans Drive cannot legally make the turn onto the street. It has to approach from the other direction or start after nine. We set the start time around the block, not around the calendar.
The commercial side runs by different rules again. Section 143-6 bans stopping and standing at all hours on Liberty Way, Half Acre Road, Old Trenton Road, Prospect Plains Road, South River Road, and Station Road, the roads serving the Brickyard Road and Corporate Drive distribution buildings. Every move on that side of Route 130 stages on private property, which is how our Commercial Movers Cranbury NJ and Office Movers Cranbury NJ team schedules it.
Moving of America prices are based on a binding item-by-item inventory, not on estimated weight or cubic volume. You approve a written list that includes the price, making us one of the Best Movers in Cranbury NJ and a go-to choice for a Cranbury NJ Moving Quote.
Village homes here are older and often deeper than they look from the street, so stairs and long carry times are the factors most likely to affect the number. We quote before you sign, not on moving day.
We list every item and confirm access details: driveway, stairs, doorway widths in older village houses, and whether you are inside the historic district or on the corridor. Our Full Service Movers Cranbury NJ and Packing and Moving Services Cranbury NJ ensure that every detail is covered.
We are a licensed carrier, not a broker. Cranbury has movers headquartered inside the township, and we will not pretend to be the closest truck to your door. We offer a binding, item-by-item estimate, employed, background-checked crews, and a written price that does not change on move day. Choose our Licensed Movers Cranbury NJ and Insured Movers Cranbury NJ for complete peace of mind.
The authority is verifiable. USDOT #1601312 and MC #592337 are searchable on FMCSA SAFER, and NJ License #39PC00096600 is issued by the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs. See our licensed NJ mover credentials and the FMCSA Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move booklet, provided on every interstate move under 49 CFR § 375.213.
Edison, NJ: the county’s largest township, with Oak Tree Road apartment complexes and Route 1 corridor moves.
Plainsboro, NJ: Princeton Meadows condominium moves and the Plainsboro Road corridor, directly across the western township line.
Monroe Township, NJ: Applegarth and the Route 33 senior communities, where board approval governs the move-in window. We are Senior Movers Cranbury NJ, for those transitions.
South Brunswick, NJ: Dayton and Kendall Park moves along Route 130 north of the line.
East Windsor, NJ: Hightstown-area moves across the Mercer County line at Old Trenton Road.
For your move, yes. Section 143-1 excludes trucks over four tons from Main Street between Cranbury Neck Road and Station Road, but exempts the pickup and delivery of materials on those streets. A household move qualifies. Using Main Street as a through route does not qualify, and the fine is up, to $500 per violation.
No. Cranbury has no residential parking permit system and no metered parking. Section 143-5 lists only two permanent no-parking zones in the whole township: the west side of Maplewood Avenue for 325 feet south of Plainsboro Road, and Old Cranbury Road from dusk to dawn between the township line and Pin Oaks Drive. On most village streets, the truck can stop at the door.
After 9:00 a.m. on many streets. Section 143-7 bans weekday right turns from Station Road onto Evans Drive, Oak Lane, and Pine Hill Drive between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m., along with the right from North Main Street onto Scott Avenue. Old Cranbury Road to South Main and Plainsboro Road to Prospect Street are closed to those turns 7:00–9:00 a.m. and 4:00–6:00 p.m.
On private property, not at the curb. Section 143-6 prohibits stopping and standing at all hours on Liberty Way, Half Acre Road, Old Trenton Road, Prospect Plains Road, South River Road, and Station Road. Moves at the Brickyard Road and Corporate Drive buildings run through a loading dock with a scheduled window.
We price from a binding item-by-item inventory rather than by weight or volume, so the written list you approve is the price you pay. In the historic district, stairs and long-carry time usually move the number, and it is quoted before you sign. Cranbury falls inside our Middlesex County movers coverage, and we offer Apartment Movers Cranbury NJ and House Movers Cranbury NJ for all types of homes.
